The Integrity Layer is a research and governance architecture lab building the frameworks, tools, and computational systems needed to make values a measurable, operational force in how organizations and institutions are designed and run.

It exists independently by design. Independence is not a constraint. It is the condition that makes the work possible. The questions being asked here do not fit neatly inside institutional mandates, funding cycles, or consensus timelines. They require the freedom to follow the architecture wherever it leads.

Five frameworks have been published and DOI-registered. The computational engine is in development. What is being built is not a product in search of a market. It is an architecture in search of the moment the world is ready for it.

Values are structural forces.

The most consequential work of this decade is governance work. Not policy. Not compliance. The deeper architecture: the systems, structures, and values frameworks that determine how intelligence, human and artificial, shapes the world.

Values are not abstract ideals. They are dynamic forces that move through organizations, institutions, relationships, and systems, shaping decisions, behaviour, and outcomes whether or not they are named. When they are not designed for, they drift. When they drift, systems fail the humans inside them and around them. The damage is rarely visible until it has already compounded.

The Integrity Layer was built on a single conviction: that values can be made operational. Quantifiable. Governable. That the architecture of human flourishing is not a philosophical aspiration. It is an engineering problem that has not yet been properly framed.

Vanessa Chow is the founder, sole inventor, and architect of The Integrity Layer. She is a systems architect, strategic advisor, and certified professional coach, and the sole published author of the five frameworks that form the foundation of this work.

She is a non-linear thinker who has spent a lifetime in observation, seven years in practice and the last year in formulation of all that she saw.
